DISPLACEMENT ZERO

a solo exhibition of works by

Andrew Wenrick

This exhibition, Displacement Zero, was first shown at the Claremont Museum of Art in Los Angeles.  as a four month solo show by California native Andrew Wenrick.  Maps of the Los Angeles area and beyond have been reconstructed into unexpected configurations, challenging our perception of place.

The single most important identifying quality of geography is shape. When familiar boundaries are altered, ambiguity results, a blurring of the relationships that allow us to locate and ground ourselves.  Leading to thought-provoking perceptual shifts.
